CERAV Africa regional workshops — Burkina Faso

Zone Franche has been invit­ed to take part in the CERAV (Cen­tre Région­al pour les Arts Vivants / Afrique) region­al work­shops from Octo­ber 22 to 24, 2024 in Oua­gadougou (Burk­i­na Faso), the gen­er­al theme of which is : “Coop­er­a­tion and diplo­ma­cy for the devel­op­ment of cul­tur­al and cre­ative indus­tries and the imple­men­ta­tion of the 2005 con­ven­tion in Africa.Coop­er­a­tion and diplo­ma­cy for the devel­op­ment of cul­tur­al and cre­ative indus­tries and the imple­men­ta­tion of the 2005 con­ven­tion in Africa.”

CERAV / Africa, a mem­ber of the Zone Franchenet­work, based in Bobo-Dioulas­so (Burk­i­na Faso), is the fruit of a desire to offer Africa a sup­port struc­ture for the imple­men­ta­tion of the 2005 UNESCO Con­ven­tion on the Pro­tec­tion and Pro­mo­tion of the Diver­si­ty of Cul­tur­al Expres­sionsspe­cial­iz­ing in the pro­mo­tion of the per­form­ing arts, cin­e­ma and audio­vi­su­al media. This com­mit­ment was for­mal­ized on June 14, 2010 in Paris, France, with the sign­ing of an agree­ment between the Gov­ern­ment of Burk­i­na Faso and UNESCO.

As the Zone Franche team is ful­ly mobi­lized at WOMEX on these dates, the net­work will be rep­re­sent­ed by Camille Seck, Cul­tur­al Expert / Founder of Kaani Urban (mem­ber of Zone Franche) and Dakar Cre­ative Con­sult­ing.
