Zone Franche has been invited to take part in the CERAV (Centre Régional pour les Arts Vivants / Afrique) regional workshops from October 22 to 24, 2024 in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), the general theme of which is : “Cooperation and diplomacy for the development of cultural and creative industries and the implementation of the 2005 convention in Africa.Cooperation and diplomacy for the development of cultural and creative industries and the implementation of the 2005 convention in Africa.”
CERAV / Africa, a member of the Zone Franchenetwork, based in Bobo-Dioulasso (Burkina Faso), is the fruit of a desire to offer Africa a support structure for the implementation of the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressionsspecializing in the promotion of the performing arts, cinema and audiovisual media. This commitment was formalized on June 14, 2010 in Paris, France, with the signing of an agreement between the Government of Burkina Faso and UNESCO.
As the Zone Franche team is fully mobilized at WOMEX on these dates, the network will be represented by Camille Seck, Cultural Expert / Founder of Kaani Urban (member of Zone Franche) and Dakar Creative Consulting.
