Festival de la Francophonie — October 2 to 6 in Paris

Backed by the Francophonie Summit to be hosted by France on October 4 and 5, 2024 in Villers-Cotterêt, Refaire le monde, le Festival de la francophonie is an invitation to discover the vitality of Francophone creation in all its artistic, cultural, societal, entrepreneurial and scientific facets. Illustrating the Summit’s theme, “Create, innovate and undertake in French”, this event reveals a Francophonie that is open to the world, lively, attractive and inventive.

“Discovering French-language cultural content online : new uses in music, books and training” — Friday October 4 at 11am in the Auditorium

To reach their audiences, French-speaking creators and cultural companies need to develop new strategies : Youscribe (books), Deezer (music), the collective laboratory La Percée (music) supported by Zone Franche (France) and Les Productions Nuits d’Afrique (Canada) and Youscribe (books). In a world where digital platforms have become the main point of access to cultural content, the user’s attention is directed towards a limited number of flagship products or international content enjoying a certain popularity and visibility, to the detriment of a rich diversity of French-language content. The online discoverability of French-language cultural content aims to counterbalance this trend, and is reflected in concrete actions developed as part of this debate.
